OKB Grigorov follows up with a bigger main gun on the T-100 chassis.
Following tests conducted during the Winter War, a proposal was made to upgrade the T-100 with a more powerful main gun. The 152mm gun, capable of destroying concrete structures and other anti-tank defenses, was eyed as the replacement. Thus a new turret to accommodate the 152mm gun was implemented early 1940. This new variant was named T-100Z. Further development however was eventually abandoned in favor of the superior KV-1 and KV-2 tanks.
OKB Grigorov’s Soviet Heavy Tank T-100Z (V72055) is a full resin kit rendered in 1/72 scale. The kit includes 130 resin parts and a photo-etched fret with 15 parts.
