Trumpeter shares further details and photos of its large scale Abrams tank.
In service since 1980, the M1 Abrams main battle tank has been continually improved resulting into various types. One such version is the M1A1 AIM (Abrams Integrated Management). It was the product of a program that refurbished older units and then upgraded such with the installation of Forward-Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) and Far Target Locate sensors, a tank-infantry phone, communications gear, including FBCB2 and Blue Force Tracking, as well as a thermal sight for the .50 caliber machine gun.
Trumpeter’s US M1A1 AIM MBT (00926) is a 1/16 display kit that contains more than 1,300 parts in 22 sprues. It features details such as a multi-slide molded lower and upper hulls, individual track links, and photo-etched components. The model’s dimensions are 620mm (L) by 232mm (W) when built.
