The new volume of Nuts and Bolts is a completely new book on the Famo’s Sd.Kfz. 9 18 ton Zugkraftwagen
It is interesting to quote the note from the publisher:
The more astute reader cannot have missed the fact that Wehrmacht halftracked vehicles are the subject of a large proportion of our publications. Since the year 2000, the author, Dr. Nicolaus Hettler, specialised in these types of vehicles. He wrote the first volume on a halftracked vehicle, which was volume 12 on the FAMO, followed by volume 16 - Sd.Kfz.8, volume 20 – Sd.Kfz.11, volume 34 – Sd.Kfz.7, volume 39 Sd.Kfz.6, and volume 41 – Schwere Wehrmachtschlepper.
Most readers would then expect us to publish a volume on the Sd.Kfz.10, the 1 ton Zugkraftwagen, in order to complete the unarmoured halftrack series. However, as a result of our stock of volume 12 – FAMO running low, we had decided to release a completely new edition on this fascinating vehicle, instead of a reprint.
Indeed, the author and the team have been able to collect so much new and interesting material from the archives and during visits to private collections, that it was unnecessary to copy any drawings, photographs or even text from the original volume 12. Our readers will be amazed at what we present to them on 232 pages of the all new Nuts & Bolts Volume 43 on the FAMO family of Zugkraftwagen
