Did somebody try to create the chrome parts with chrome foil? I wonder if the foil would be able to follow the fine detail lines on the grill. I am aware that this version still has to come, but other variants of this Mercedes have been available for some time (like the delivery version)

I don‘t have ever used chrome foil before so I have no clue about its limitations. The grill seems to be very fine etched material. Does it keep its appereance while using the foil? Trying to get foil in the individual ribs of that grille seems like a sure ticket to the lunatic asylum. I would go for Alclad instead, at least for the grille. The frame around it could be possible with Bare Metal foil but then the chrome on the fram would be different from the chrome on the grille ... I could be wrong .... / Robin

@ Paul. Start thinking to use foil when you do 1/24 - 1/25 scale. Even then its a very labor intensive job to get that realistic shine. Bare Metal Foil is very nice material, but 1/35 is just to small. Sheet thickness is very visible, you can feel it with your fingers.
