What does 'Screened' mean?

Michael, From looking at the images I'm guessing it refers to up-armored as there are additional armor plates highlighted. Just a guess. HTH John

LINK screen or shield: screened is another translation of shielded and shielded gets close to a shield used in battle (medieval knights) so it is indeed up-armoured as John writes. Further hints about the naming can be had from Trumpeters kit nr 00357: with the "nickname" Ehkranami. The Russian language might have loaned the ekran from the French écran which means screen or shield (as in armour shield used by a knight, also the actual coat of arms). A shield used in a sword fight has another name, transcribed as "shchit" (щит) which I think is pronounced as the first sound of shield (sh) immediately followed by chit (sh-chit). Don't even think about trying it after a few beers .... bystanders will think that you are drunk ....
