After months of planning, hard work, discussions and lots of learning Tristar is now truly back in business with their first new product , a set of British Paratroopers with Welbikes just in time for the 65th Commemoration of Operation Market Garden .
(35041)1/35 WW II British Paratroopers with Welbikes was announced in August of last year and was eagerly awaited by modelers who were bitterly dissappointed when it seemed Tristar was no more.

Happily it would now seem that that the company's troubles are over.

Tristar list the features of the kit as:

i The first 1/35 plastic injected Welbike with its special air drop container
ii. Photo Etched wire of wheel included to enhance detail of scooters
iii. Accurate Welbike with finely detailed 98cc horizontally mounted Villiers engine. Drive chain is represented with PE.
iv. The Welbike can be assembled in use (Image 4) or stored (Image 5)
v. The Welbike Air drop container can be assembled open or closed with accurate detail on both sides (Image 6)
vi. 1/35 highly detailed WW II British Paratrooper 2 figures with choice of 3 poses. The modeler can choose to assemble paratrooper to retrieve bike (Image 3). Furthermore, the modeler can choose to build another paratrooper pushing or riding. (Image 1 and 2)
vii. Photo etched rifle sling included for Enfield Mk1 no 4 rifle.(Image 9)
viii. Extra photo etched helmet camouflage nets (Image 10)
ix. Kit includes decals for WW II British Airborne and Polish independent parachute brigade

The company is sending a small quantity to Oosterbeek for the Commemoration and some to the Euro Militaire in England.

Both the Brummbar and Flakpanzer 38(t) kits are now back in stock.

Hi Pat, Thanks for the update, glad to see these finally coming along. Good for them making somthing new and unusual. Timely too. Now with the MB Horsa and C47 announced what we need are some highly detailed 1/35 parachutes in nice White, Blue, Yellow, Black, Red and Khaki colours, to atttache to the containers . A hand cart or two would also be a useful item! Given all the wired and wonderful things produced for the modelling world, I'm surprised no one ever got around to making parachutes This is excellent news and I'm glad to hear Tristar are back on solid ground Good to see they have also included the cradles for the containers. Al
