My thoughts exactly Al ! I have a couple of Crusader III's sitting in my stash just waiting for various AA conversion kits. It seems to be a fact of life, you start to convert or scratch-build something and boom...... some manufacturer beats you to it !! Shouldn't complain, we're living in grand times for Allied vehicles and equipment fans !!! Cheers

Hi John, Not complaining at all, although I would have preferred a 6pdr first, but this will motivate me to start on the AA Crusader Gun Tractor conversion which being an open topped vehicle with an interior will be a lot of fun. Excellent times indeed. Al

Accurate Armour have had a 17 pdr kit (in resin and brass etch) with its Crusader tractor for a few years. They are truly magnificent models, and they also do a model of the Archer (17 pdr on a Valentine chassis)

A great time for softskins, halftracks and artillery! But the 2cm FlaK? What's the point with that? Are the DML or Tristar versions that bad we need another? Not being polemical, but really curious why another with another Sd.Ah. 52.

Hi Guys, Here's a follow up for Bronco once they have the 17pdr gun a British Pheasant based on the 25pdr carriage. Some neat pictures here, I picked this up on ML thanks to Tim Folkes http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=52582 Al

Thanks for the link Al ! Yee gods, the Pheasant was the size of a house !! Much taller than the standard 17pdr, I guess the need for an effective weapon outweighed the need for stealth. The breech block on the 17pdr looks enormous, little wonder they had trouble cramming one into any British tank turret. Cheers jjumbo
