Bronco Model have just sent us images of a Seasonal surprise which should get the Allied modeler turning cartwheels.
No New Releases were scheduled from the company until January 2011, so this one comes right out of the blue:

CB35018SP - Humber Armored Car Mk.IV

Now, this is unusual for two reasons. Firstly, it's a limited edition - only 3999 examples are going to be produced. Secondly, it's got FULL interior detail. Now, frequently, with a vehicle of this size, you really can't see that much. In this one you can - the turret and hull are produced in transparent plastic.

For those that may consider this a 'gimmick' worry you not - the 'conventional' version will also be produced.

Our thanks to Bronco for the Update! More on its way!

Great news! I've always kind of liked this little vehicle. Is the limited number of kits only for the transparent body version? I'd rather wait and get a regular one.. if that will be in "regular" production later on. Hisham

Some clarification. This version is strictly a LIMITED edition of 4000 examples. Next year, the 'conventional' model will be released. Regarding the research for this one. A friend of mine, George Moore (who does much of the research for Resicast) was responsible for a great part of the work on this. Knowing the meticulous way that George approaches any project - the confidence threshold should be sky-high! Additional details were provided by U.S. collectors Jim Burrill and Ryan Gill who gave close-up detail photos of their preserved Humber AC Mk.IV interior and equipment.

This is what I was going to ask, too. Jim, could you please enlighten us? Thanks! Johannes P.s.: Great announcement!

Congratulations Bronco for a long awaited release. Congratulations Jim for being the first news editor to pop this story. C.

Now, how much of the interior will be present in the 'Opaque' version I don't know. I'd imagine a LARGE part (if not all of it). I'll be getting more images from Bronco shortly, so i'll keep you posted. Thanks, but completely undeserved, Bronco have a mailing list which goes out to everyone at the same time. Now, for me that usually means i'm last to post because of the Time Zone - it would normally arrive at 2/3 in the morning.

Thanks!

Ah yes, Bronco may have a mailing list that goes out to all involved but you had your news item posted at Armorama and posted a link on ML before any of the other acclaimed 'news' sites. Time zones or not, you beat them all! (and possibly frustrated them also) So, kudos to you. C.

Thanks Jim. Al

Well that may change things for me. I'll definitely pick up one of the regular versions, but taking into consideration what you have said makes me wonder if I should pick up one of these and go for the clear build....
