We've seen a number of announcements concerning Allied AFV Crews in the last year or two. This one though, from MiniArt Ltd., is certainly unusual
The New, 1/35th scale Set is being announced as:

35135 - CLOSE COMBAT U.S. TANK CREW

Five, styrene figures of U.S. WWII Tankers. There is though a big difference from what we've previously seen from either MiniArt (or anyone else). Apart from one (the .50 Cal Gunner), the rest are dismounted and, if the box-art is anything to go by, in hostile territory.

Broadly similar to similar sets of Soviet tankers 'bailing-out' I really don't think i've seen anything comparable to these ones featuring U.S. personnel.

No word on release date although the images of the actual figures should be out shortly, this is definitely a set which should find a great utility.

Our thanks to MiniArt Ltd. for the Update!

I don't even build armor and I am all over these guys!!! I have a vignette idea for a couple of them already.

Here's the good news. There's no doubt this is the nicest and most imaginative set of US tankers to appear anywhere. Now the bad news. Will we ever get to actually hold it in our hands? This is the third set of US tankers announced by MiniArt and we haven't seen a single one of them on our hobby shop shelves. The first set was announced over a year ago and there's been no sign of it. Come on! Anyone can announce new figure sets. How about actually producing them?

The artwork is tremendous. 2 problems. 1/ As mentioned, they are most likely a fair way away, if ever. 2/ They would want to be as close as possible in plastic to the boxart to get my $. An age old problem of the box being better than the chocolates

Welllllll.... When/ if they are produced I will definitely be getting a set. There really is a market for Allied figures. Looks like some manufacturers are finally taking notice....it seem to be the Eastern European companies like Masterbox and Mini Art....now if they only come to fruition! Jeff

good to see more allied figures for allied tanks but would like them to do the same for the US half tracks as they seem to lack and crew figures to with them . Would be great to have soldiers to be seat in the rear

Wow! It looks great indeed! I like a lot those incredibly convincing poses I hope Miniart will produce soon something similar with russian tankers

MiniArt puts out some great stuff, but when it comes to these tanker figures , I think that they just have someone over there who just likes to draw really great box art pictures for fun. They are not serious about releases and need a good ass kicking............just saying.

While MiniArt isn't a 'mom & pòp' operation either, they ARE under a lot of pressure with developing both new releases and maintaining production of existing releases. Their announced releases, when they get the Box-Art out DO eventually arrive and yes, they ARE under-development. It's VERY different from another company I could name who announce 'spoilers' at every Trade Fair. Hands up those who actually believe that the DML 25 pounder will ever actually appear? Anyone remember the DML Stryker. Yep, exactly...

If anybody's going to release a 25lb'er its Bronco. They've got the 25lb gun on the Bishop, and the carriage with the 'Pheasant'. I think the Pheasant was a poor choice of release as it was only an interim model, produced in small numbers, and not particularly successful compared to the wide-spread use of the 25lb'er and the real need for a better kit (Tamiya ). They've already released the very nice 17lb'er and should have just gone directly to the 25lb'er. Maybe release the Pheasant some time down the road when there's nothing else happening.
