On to the Front! in 1/72 Scale

INTRODUCTION |
While I was pondering what I would do next for a
diorama, the first thing I considered was to make a dio that incurs minimal
cost and just using materials readily available anywhere. So I think to
myself, I should do one that will test my resourcefulness and imagination.
So went I did to one of the local hobby shops here in Manila and there I saw
the Revell-Germany kits in 1:72 scale! Perfect for my project coz it cost
much much cheaper compared to the 1:35 scale line. There I inspected the box
and to my surprise, the kit is flowing with detail that I never thought
would compare to the details found in 1:35 kits.
I bought the Panzer IV medium tank. First I was planning to buy 3 Panzer
tanks coz I was planning to make a scene which consists of tanks on a convoy
along a ruined city street. But unfortunately, the tank kits didn’t have
figures included in them. So I scowered the stock and found the German
mounted PLAK gun which has 7 figures included in the kit!
The Kubelwagon and half-track in my dio came from my fellow modeler who gave
it to me a few weeks back. The German plane in the dio is one of the kits I
purchased way back but haven't started building yet. With all the kits I
have now in 1:72 scale, my mind is at work again to visualize how I would
present all these in one scene. So there, the story came much clearer and I
have a clear picture of what I want. Copyright ©2002 - Text and
