Figures
I used ESCI, Italeri and Tamiya figures. The were painted with enamel.

Painting
This is the last diorama which was done with brush painted vehicles. I used enamels for painting. I did not wash them according to nowadays standards. I opposed for quite a long time against the habit if artificially reproducing depth by washing and dry brushing details as it was my opinion that on real vehicles there is nothing like that either and the details on a model are just a minimized reproduction of the real thing and clearly visible anyway. That’s why I simply painted a vehicle and washed it with a PACTRA colour called “weather”. This was a very hard to find, heavy diluted tan colour which reproduced a nice and dusty finish and could be mixed with other enamels as well.
