Caen '44

This particular scene took over 100 hours to build, and consists of 16 German Wehrmact and Waffen SS figures in 1:35 scale. It is a visage of a street scene as it may have appeared shortly after the invasion of Europe. Caen was a major city of Northern France, and was considered vital to the Allies as a port foothold to support the early invasion. While Operation Overlord pinpointed that Caen would fall to the Allies according to plan within the first three days, in fact, the Germans fought a valiant defense, holding the city for the better part of two weeks, greatly slowing down the plans of the Allies.
