1⁄35Academy's M10

This is my Academy's M10 with Legends late turret. I found that the Legend turret was designed for use with the AFV club kit. The AFV kit's turret opening is smaller in diameter than the Academy kits. Why there is a difference in such a fundamental measurement is beyond me. I fabricated an adaptor from some coffee can tin foil and used it to cover the Academy opening and provide the smaller diameter opening required for the Legend turret. I also needed to remove some resin from the front of the turret on the interior in order to get the gun positioned properly. I weathered and painted exclusively with Testors Model Master paints and detailed with stowage from various manufacturers. My first completed build started 30 minutes into the New Year and finished 8 days later (I had to wait for the turret)

Hi Mike
Love your M10, she's a beauty that's for sure. I have this kit in my stash and may have to drag it out. If there's one thing i like it's properly tied down stowage and you really hit the button on that one mate.
Great work

They's been bugging me anyway Roy-when I thought about it. Now the hinges aren't in their support like they should be though. I did look at other builds on some sites and most do fit wrong. Others have corrected it and the smart ones just left them shut!

Nice recovery with the turret issue , very quick build , it takes me that long just to clear enough room on the workbench.
