1⁄1Braille Battlefield Campaign Giant Photo Report

Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of the campaign was that what might be assumed would be simple and quickly built kits turned out in many cases to be anything but. The premise that these small scale kits would fly together on their own was quickly dispelled.
The nature and spirit of the campaign seemed almost infectious. A number of successful participants who completed their original build requirements used their extra remaining time to complete additional builds. Sadly, as with so many times in life, one poor individual had mishap after mishap with his entries. From a slip while carrying a model to other calamities that destroyed the builds, he failed to complete the campaign requirements despite what might be termed a heroic effort of persistence.

Well I did say let's sort in out in January. . .
It was fun to do, I do feel like I know those photos very well now!

January yes but there were also others in the queue that we had to wait for. As for knowing the photos, tell me about it! It will take quite some time before I can sleep without them invading my dreams. Then there are the five or six galleries (pushing 1000 images in various states of cropping and resizing) that I have used for sorting and such that need to be cleaned up. Then there are the backups on external drives...

....and all that hard work ended in a beautiful presentation! Excellent job to all those involved in the campaign and a special thanks to Jan and Matthew for getting this feature sorted and published (a lot of time and effort, I know )

Erhan, Thank you for commenting. I, and I am positive Matthew, greatly appreciate it. I do not know for sure but from what I have seen, the BB Campaign has got to be one of the biggest and most active. Just shows how great the Braille scale modellers can be!
Cheers,

Very proud to be a part of this. Congratulations to everyone! And also to Jan for running it smoothly! Enjoyed looking at everybody's work! This proves that if you can detail a model in braille the rest of the larger scale would be easy.

Val, thanks for the comments and kudos. The feature has been up for a little over a week and we've already achieved over 3000 views which all participants in the campaign should be proud. This also is an incentive to perhaps propose another small scale campaign. Should I (or anyone?) be insane enough to do so, I'll post something in the campaign forum but also in the Braille forum to advise all that it is there. PLEASE don't turn this thread into a campaign proposal as this isn't the place to discuss it..
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks to all the fine modelers who shared their efforts with us --- especially (IMHO) Jagdflieger (page 2), NWBrit (page 3), and sabredog and Panzer Alexander (page 4). They demonstrated that the scale may bew small, but there's nothing undersized about the enjoyment to be had in 1/72nd modeling!

@Pops53 -Fred, thanks for leaving a comment about the campaign and the feature. WE, and I do mean everyone involved in the campaign, appreciate the acknowledgement. As you could see from the number of kits that were built, there was no lack of enthusiasm by the members. I'm sure that we'll have another similar campaign in the future and hope that you will be able to join us for that.
Cheers,
Jan

Hi everyone.
Something has just recently been brought to my attention and I thought that I'd share it with of those that participated in the BB Campaign. I was informed and have confirmed that the BB Feature has made the Top Ten List in the features area.
This is a significant accomplishment that all members of the campaign should be justifiably proud. Your participation, commitment and efforts in this campaign made all the difference. Three cheers to all!
Thanks,
Jan
