Has any one finished the build of this kit yet?
Really looking forward to see some build work photos before mine arriving.

It looks like a "shake and bake" kit. It took him just one week to finish the build, and he hadn't had to use the putty...Warpage problems could be annoying anyway
Many thanks for the link Mario

OK, you modern AFV guys: Hobby Boss Leopard or Meng Merkava? In terms of OOB perfection.
I guess if it's got me asking about purchasing, it must be a good video, LOL.

Thanks for taking a look inside that box for us, Jim!
I wonder about the tracks. Do they hold together well or do they tend to fall apart upon lifting them off the workbench (like e.g. the Hobby Boss tracks for the AAVP-7. The pain the lower backside!!!!).
I wonder if any of the fruil sets would fit. Can any of you Experten tell me which of the available Friul tracks would be the proper ones for this AFV? TIA
Secondly, what brand of paint are the instructions given in? Do the experts think that the given choice is OK and - if not - what would be the best choice of colour in Vallejo Air? TIA
Cheers,
Guido

good day to all, i started today to do the meng mekava, i wil try to give one first opinion, I m not one really expert in IDF but i been in the army for 35 years and for 11 i been spending time in the border between Israel and Lebanon the border called ROSH ANIKRA and also METULLA, SO FOR WHAT I SEEN and i had the occasion to see from close , and for what i visited the meng model is to large for me is out of the scale, i agree the mold is say very good ,no pewrfect it has amny clean to do , MENG COULD AVOID TO PUT IN THE BIOX THAT RIDICULUS CHAIN AND BALS TO BE ATTACCHED ON THE BACK OF THE TURET FOR RPG PROTECTION SHOUL MAKE MODELER PAY SOME BACKS MORE AND PUT INSIDE THE METAL ONE , THAT IS MY OPINION , I SAY AGAIN I M NOT AN EXPERT IN THAT VEICHLE MY FIELS WAS IN HELICOPTER BUT IN MANY YEAR I GOT SOME OPNION , AND I CAN SAY I BECAME ONE IDF ARMURED VEICHCLE AND IN AERONATIC VEICHLEL TAHT I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SE FROM CLOSE AND ALSO TO TEST

Wow, I'd like to have your eyes and sense of proportion! To be able to tell a 1:35 model is too big just because you've seen a real one and 'been in the Army'. Funny, most people loved the plastic ball'n chain, saves a lot of work from the alternative method eg. Legend or Voyager. Any reason to re-start a 6 month old thread? AND TAKE OFF THE CAPS LOCK!
Respectfully submitted,
Jim
