Well you have never entered and so you would not know. The members that do enter want to display their work and have the chance of winning a prize. After the vote a large number of the entries are used as photo features and so further highlighting that members work. A reasonable number of people who have excelled in the past have been asked to provide features for magazines, and so that is another fringe benefit.

Why bother entering any competition? You want a prize or other kind of reward. And you always enter using the rules available. I can't really see the problem here

Shoot, I'm happy just to get an occasional pat on the back ... and as my blogs get bumped further and further down into oblivion, I am reminded that I need to improve my skills. Just viewing DMOM inspires me to do so. Keep it going guys!

Florian Mandau entered the Panther F last year and won the Armorama Model of the Year for 2013: DMOY 2013 Results I just happened to remember the results and had the link. HTH
