1⁄35Have a Break

The 1/35th scale "M-ATV" kit by Kinetic has been sitting in my stash for a while. In spite of the many bad reviews I had heard about this kit and the fact that it was removed from production to be re-released by Kinetic, I decided to give it a go.
As expected the kit was full of problems which included: several serious mistakes on the assembly guide, missing parts in the trees, mismatch...etc. I had seen several reviews online and many of them were clearly stating the problems with the kit and how to correct them. Some have even posted a corrected copy of the instructions. Without these modifications the kit would have been surely ruined. That Said the M-ATV is a very interesting and fun vehicle to assemble, the kit has a very highly detailed undercarriage but lacks a lot of details on upper part and the inside of the vehicle. Therefore a lot of scratch details were added both on the interior and the exterior to reach an acceptable level of detail.
I have also created a Diorama for the Vehicle in Iraq using the MB figure kit and called it "Have a break”. I used a very beat up look for the M-ATV and gun shots to show that it had seen a lot of action; I used the figures to depict soldiers leaving all this war and action and taking a moment for a kind "Human Break".
In conclusion I would not recommend this kit to anyone as it took a lot of time and effort in my still inexperienced hands, it would be much better to wait for the new release or go for another brand kit. That said, I believe it came out more or less as I imagined it and I had a lot of fun doing the model and the Diorama.

What's not to love? Everything in it is nicely done. The vehicle, the figures, the composition, the story. It certainly brings back memories, having been that dude.
