thought I'd share this, just finished it for the latest Big Cats campaign. It is Tamiya's Jagdpanther late with Tamiya indie link tracks and ET Models photoetch skirts. I painted it with tamiya colours and weathered it with oils and pigments.

Nice. I like that this late in the war the tank isn't over-weathered as some insist on doing.

Really great job Colin, did the exhausts come with the kit? I like the paint scheme, it really sets it off. Best regards.........Dale

Thanks Dale, yes the exhausts came with the kit, I think the screens were from the PE set though.

I'm not a great fan of the "pyjama stripes" camo scheme but you've done a great job with this.
Nice subtle weathering, none of that fashionable but exaggerated "Spanish school" stuff here, which I think is very unrealistic in most cases given that the field life of tanks - especially at this late stage of the war - was often measured in terms of as little as a few days or even just a few hours after arriving at the front.

I’m just getting back in to the hobby after ‘a few’ years off, and chose this same kit. I’m planning on using what my foggy memory tells me was my normal routine:
1. Paint camo
2. Airbrush Future
3. Decals
4. Pin wash, chipping, general weathering
5. Airbrush a very thinned layer of Tamiya Buff over the whole thing
6. Sit on shelf and enjoy
Does that sound about right? Any recommendations, especially given that just about every hobby store in the world is closed?
TIA
