Staghound in Germany, 1945

  • move
This is Dan's small Staghound diorama. It depicts the Staghound and infantry entering the ruins of a German town in April, 1945 near Hamburg. The defenders were the 1st Parachute Army who fought desperately to the end. The Staghound is from the Italieri kit with some add ons while the figures are from an older Dragon set which aren't the best fits or moulds. The wrecked church is from MiniArt. Dan used Tamiya acrylics for the Staghound and Vallejo acrylics for the figures.

Like this scene. I know what you mean about the figures though as I have that set. The running figure to me looks awkward. Conversely the Bren gunner with the jerkin is one of my favourite figures, can't explain why he just looks "right" to me.

Really nice diorama; I really like the weathering on the Staghound which is one of my favorite Allied vehicles. The figures practically scream caution. Nicely done!
