A Special Announcement: AMPS Boresight series by Nick Cortese
AMPS is pleased to announce that Nick Cortese will be writing a series of articles in Boresight, the AMPS Journal. Nick will be taking AMPS Boresight readers step-by-step through his scratchbuild of the Soviet A-20. The A-20 was the prototype for the famous T-34 tank. In a series of articles beginning in the Sep-Oct issue, Nick will give a detailed presentation of the techniques that go into scratchbuilding this important prototype using the DML T-34/76 model 1940 kit as a starting point.
This series will culminate in a scratchbuilding seminar at the 2008 AMPS International Convention at the WW2 Victory Museum in Auburn, Ohio April 10-12, 2008. The theme of this coming year's show is "Prototypes, Experimentals and One-Offs".
Even if you aren't a scratchbuilder, Nick's techniques for using styrene fabrication can be applied to detailing a kit in ways you may never have envisioned. In each issue this winter, Nick will show you how to 'train your eye' to break objects down into simpler components, using simple tools in innovative ways, and finally building complex objects up.

Well, I'm certainly happy to hear that, and that my dues are paid.
