I've seen a few poll here about what is your favorite tank, so I thought I'd start a poll for the other side. Since I don't want to offend anyone I won't say ugly.
What that do you consider to be the most less then beautiful tank?
My vote goes to the Russian KV-2
Armor/AFV

I'm going to second that (even though it's one of my posibilities for the Operation Barbarossa Campaign Build).

I agree with Rob for the modern ones, but what do you think about Fiat 3000 (a mix between a tracked tractor and a kettle)?

Actually, and I know some of you may disagree, I think the STRV 103 is really ugly.

Renault FT17 and Matilda 1, almost looks as if the tracks were added as an after-thought (on the other hand, I kinda like the Matilda II )

I will have to go with the M3 Lee. I like them, but they were certainly ugly.

how about the Char B1 tank once considered by France to be cutting edge tech.
As a 2nd runner up i'd also vote for the M3 grant / lee tanks

I thought I had a contender in mind until I saw Keenan's AMX-13 with a Chaffee turret. Now THAT'S ugly.
Ah, the French.
PS: I disagree with Sabot - I love the sci-fi looks of the M60A2.

Come to think of it, the regular AMX-13 was no beauty either.

For its day, it was GENERALLY considered top notch. Technology simply went past it as it does everything. Heck, those of us old enough to remember, the Princess phone was considered an inovation. The two hand operated LED digital watch was high end tech with a price to match. In 1972, an LED "pocket" calculator with no memory and no clear entry that ran on 4 penlight batteries cost $150 US retail.

M60A3,
You are right. My original thought was just to post a pic of the butt ugly AMX 13. Did a google search and found what has to be one of the worst armor bastardizations I have ever seen.

I love the fact that the word "armored" would be attached to something like the Bren gun carrier. After WWII, british armor got a facelift. French armor just stayed useless and behind the times until just recently(so it is stated....for me, I'm not to sure). As for ugly...Somua!!!!!
