how do you add sadeing and highlights to a figure with a camouflage on? Becase if you paint them it hides the camo pattern?

Chris, there are a couple of ways I know (there maybe more). You could preshade -- in other words, paint in dark shadows and light highlights as a basecoat before painting the cam pattern over this. That way, the shadows and highlights will show through subtly. Or you could use filters -- after painting the pattern and letting it dry you paint in the shadows with a well thinned dark colour, as you would with a wash solution. You can do the highlights by either filtering, dry brushing faintly, or rubbing in pastel chalks.
