Hola Guys!

Here is my attempt to airbrush! I used humbrol enamels shot through a modelmaster airbrush, the model that the aztec replaced. I used Wal-Mart low tack stencil tape from Plaid for masking device and it worked rather well for the first time doing it. Its ready for drybrushing and then the different washes and weathering effects will be done, that means the fun parts!!! Let me know what you think, especially about the colors used.

I just posted a request to try to find one of these kits and PE sets. I really love what you did with this. Personally, would have used a much darker green in my camo, but I do northern Europe where a good deal of the forests are that dark pine

Anders,

You show that you are not only a gifted figure modeler but also a armor guy, what is next? a full size diorama???

Nice work my friend.

tha cammo looks a bit rough at places but I think that by wheathering it you will pull it together

Hola!

Thanks! I did the colors pretty light on purpose since I figured that late in the war the paint supplies were getting smaller and the paint was thinned down more then usual. Also, I 'grew' up looking at Mirko Beyerls stuff at shows etc in Sweden and liked the subdued look of his afv's so thats what I tried to copy.

Ronny,

Yeah, I'm not so good with masking things, as matter of fact this was the first time masking anything, so there was quite a bit of 'leakage'. I'll probably go over those areas with a paintbrush to touch them up. Thanks!

Yeah, I think the colors are fine. A lot of this cammo was field applied and depending on how much thinner was used the tone varied a great deal. Can't wait to see the weathering on this bad boy.

Looks great, althought personally I think the green is a bit on the light side. but that is just me. as with german paint there is almost no shade of yellow, brown, green that prob wasn't used in the field.

I think your colors look great! Don't sweat the overspray too much...all but the worst will get hidden when you drybrush.

The paint looks good to me,what kind of light were you using? I like to look at my paint under sunlit conditions. If it looks good there,I am happy.
Also when I give a general overspray of dust, etc.over my painted work,It tones it down quite a bit.

Thanks guys!

TankCarl,

I paint all my models under 2 100W lightbulbs, one on each side + 2 tubes of flourescent light above.
