I am really looking forward to this campaign, but I have yet to decide on a subject. I considered the Academy Humvee ambulance, but I did not like the wheels so I am back to square one.
Any suggestions from anyone on some kits that could be used?
Jesper, what is the problem with the wheels? I was thinking of building an Academy Humvee ambulance and convert it to the IDF model with the Legend Productions set. If the wheels are bad I'll need to get some wheels as well...

My wife gave me green light to buy a new kit and consider it a Christmass gift

.
I've ordered that Panzer I I've mentioned in previous post - I hope my supplier will get it for me - Master Box stopped producing this one so soon it will probably dissapear from the market.
As soon as I have this ambulance in my hands I join this campaign.

Martin – that’s absolutely great

.
I'd have to be VERY brave or VERY unconscious to let somebody carry me this way...

I'd really like to see this as a diorama

it's a killer...

Well I'd like to, but I'd have to sculpt the figures. In april 2008 I'll follow a workshop sculpting by Marijn van Gils so maybe I'll have the skills then

Well, I am no expert on the Hummer, but the wheels in the Academy kit looks too small.

But I could be wrong.
Anyway, I could not find anything else to use for this campaign, so I ended up buying the Academy kit anyway. You can judge for yourself later. I will post pictures of the build process.

In that case, I will acquire some resin wheels. I can compare if you want, I have all the Academy HMMWVs and the Italeri one as well. In some reviews, I read the Tamiya wheels were among the best size-wise, maybe I can find one from a fellow modeller and compare the wheel sizes.
Good, I was in need of spare Humvee wheels anyway, seems like I can utilize the Academy wheels. It is even better if they are undersized, it will be perfect for a project of mine.

I'm officialy in

.
My Panzer I Ausf.A Ambulance Version is in my hands. I just have to wait few days more to start working with it.
I have also some small diorama in mind but I don't know if I manage to build it for this campaign (I have also White Washed campaign model to finish).
BTW I have a question - how can I put a picture in formum post? Do I have to put the picture in my kitmaker gallery and paste a link in the forum post? (sorry for stupid question - Mr. Garrison used to say: there are no stupid questions - just stupid people...

In searching for the supplies for my project I happened to run across a 54mm set of surgical instruments and other items one might find in an aid station from Historex on the Squadron site. Even if they are 54mm I'm sure that they might be of some use in this campaign -- especially if someone is planning on depicting a Bn. aid station or something along those lines. I carried a minor surgery set and some Kelly Clamps in my gear on both tours in Iraq.

Hi all
I am tempted to give this a try. I still have a quarterscale Horch 830 Sankra (Wespe) in my stash ...
Would this be allowed for this campaign? :
1) it is not in the 200mm - 1/6 range given on the campaign page
2) It is not intended to be in a dio, but will accompany my aircraft models (so not really frontline)
Thanks!
best wishes
Steffen

Steffen:
Quarter scale is fine, and I will allow ambulances that serve combat aircraft returning from a mission, e.g airfield ambulances. basically if it is a military ground vehicle and or personel and is marked as medical it qualifies for the campaign. Ships and aircraft do not qualify.
I like the banners they look very good.Expect to see a ribbon during the first week of the start of the campaign.

Hi all,
Looking for a Ford F60L kit for this campaign but I can't find a lot of information on this vehicle. Does anyone know good resources?

Martin,
Please take a look at it - there are some pictures and some technical data:
