I'm fairly new here and the campaigns seem like a fun way to build together. I have an idea and was wondering if anyone else had maybe thought of this; a battlefield medicine campaign. Basically it would focus on combat medicine, medics and the associated vehicles. It would be open to all eras and nations, and wouldnt be limited to combat. Peacekeeping and disaster relief could be represented as well. Examples would be National Guard/ Reserve medical troops after a hurricane, and UN (so long as a military contingent is represented) medical teams on humanitarian missions. Well, any thoughts or ideas?

i have a dodge and jeep (ww 2), and the m997 right now. oh, and the kubelwagen. i'm actually a dr (but not er or trauma), but i thought it would be cool to build a bunch of ambulances and dioramas. i must admit, haven't started one. this campaign would be good motivation, though.

I like the idea. Gives me another eason to get another kit. I bet I can find a Soviet truck or amror kit used during WWII.

Cool! If anyone has any suggestions on the parameters of the campaign just post ideas. I'd love to see this one!

I say make it open to any tiem period. Must be an ambulance or medical support vehical as the main subject. So the medical helo from MASH would be welcome. Dio's ok. One ribbon per enterant, but mutiples are always welcome.
HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!
Hows that sound?
Oh yeah, run from 11/1/07 to 4/1/08

Excellent idea! a Dio would be great. I seem to remember DML having a few field medic teams from WWII and I know Verlinden has some.

When will the campaign begin if it is approved? I have an M997 Humvee Ambulance I can join with. I have enlisted for 5 other campaigns, so it is anytime soon, I don't think I can make it.

Emre, I agree with you.
I think it will be after the winter campaign starts. Makes no sense to start a new campaign before that, when so many are already running. However, this is only my personal opinion.
I guess it is up to the campaign managers in the end

I had originally thought of a mid-September start but I think first of next year may be best. Since I'm a new guy here i really dont know what the ribbon needs to be. I've drawn one up in Bitmap and it looks good.
But I guess I (we) need to wait and see what shakes out.

Well, if the campaign launches around the beginning of 2008, I will definitely be in with my M997 Ambulance. Otherwise, anytime before November, I am up to my neck in campaigning (and my MBA begins in September, limiting my modelling time severely, I just don't know what to do with myself)

I did a ribbon today, but it is on my PC at work. It was simple and to the point of the campaign.
THis one seems like it might be a go. I've been looking around and think I know what I will be building.

Here is my idea on a banner. (I know it is large but I can resize) Here also is the ribbon I have quickly drawn up!

Hi
Great looking ribbon. However, I have designed quite a few ribbons already and have a few suggestions:
Make the red cross symbol larger, so it will be easier to see on your ribbon?
Maybe include a red cressent symbol also?
It seems like the dimensions are not right. It might just be the size that makes it look like that.
Anyway, good job on it

I have a Universal Carrier stretcher bearer I've been itching to build for a while...
Like others have said, have the campaign next year though
