I am looking for some good 1/72 scale figures that represent modern US soldiers (Marines preferably but in this scale I don't know if it matters much). By 'modern' I mean ODS to present. Yes, I know that things have changed in those years, but I am flexable. I want to do a small dio, but will determine the exact time frame when I can find the figures.
Thanks for you assistance.

ESCI made a good set. They are good all the way up to the first phase of OIF. See My Photos for mine painted up next to a Bradley.
They did a set of Marines but these were Vietnam era and only a couple are suitable for this time period.

Nevermind, I don't have them under My Photos. I'll try to figure out where they went and post them. They are a good set though.

CMSC makes several sets in 1/72 scale. They are metal but, are extremely will detailed and rather inexpensive. Set DF26 is for the RoG/Dragon HMMWV and contains three figures-two seated and one standing firing a Ma duece and the set includes the stand for inside the HMMWV and a .50 cal and set DF26A is new containing 4 figures.

Thanks for the quick replies. I will check out all of your suggestions and let you know what I decide on. When I finally make up my mind on what I am going to build I will post it.

Thanks again for all of the assistance. I think I have chosen the set I am going to purchase. It is the Revell Modern US Infantry. A good pic can be seen here.
I have another project before I start any work on my dio; so, it may be a while before I get to use these guys.
