Project of my new dio - inspired by "Enemy at the gates";)
However, in my diorama I changed He 111 for Me 410. This paper (white) airplane tail is just a project, final tail I make from aluminium:
What do you thing about it? I hope you find it nice;)
PS. Could you send me some plans or scheme Me 410 or photos of wreck this or another german bombers? I dont know how to make detail of this destroyed stabilizer Thanks for everything;) Marcin

Good Idea Marcin and nice work so far. I think the problem with sniper vignettes is that if they really well done you couldn't see the model of the sniper A more natural position for the sniper would, I think, be under the tail plane.
Why don't you ask over on on Aeroscale?

That is a very cool idea, the concept is great.
As for the photos - aeroscale is the place. You can also employ a bit of 'gizmology'. That's the beautiful art of making things up. It's nice to do with a destroyed 'thing' just make a frame of sorts that would hold an aluminum skin, bend and wreck the ends. Add a bit of wiring for the allerons. Weather it and go.
What are the plans for the open end of the fusalage? Will it me a 'boarder' cut off or more wrekage? Personally I would opt for the board cut style as you have it now. Just paint the edges black or red to indicate an invisible vertical edge.
Keep us posted.

That is a great idea for a setting. I think that looks like a HE-111 in the picture. The ME410 had a different cockpit design and engine layout. Hte ME410 wasn't in production until 1943.
If you are looking for good crash picture of He-111's try anything dealing with the Battle of Britian.

It is definitely a He-111H, but not a good film mockup as it is too short
I love the concept though!

Nice build, I think it came out well.
One composition comment. I would like to see the 'good' stabalizer tip sitting on the ground, not the wooden frame. When it's up on the frame and being supported by the frame it give the viewer the impression that the frame is 'part of' the diorama and not a 'container'. If you need the height to keep the snipers rifle level, I would suggest elevating it a mm or 2mm over the frame to create just a bit of space.
I hope this makes sense.

Great idea for a simple but good prop for the figure. The one thing that stands out for me is the lower legs of the prone sniper,at the moment they are floating above the wing when they should be resting on it.They need to rest on it to give a relaxed pose to the figure.I would suggest cutting at the knee and adjusting to fit the profile of the wing. The only other suggestion would be to pack things under the legs to loose the airspace beneath.

I agree, I think this would be more realistic if he was underneath the plane.
Great idea though and a really good job at constructing the tailfin, will look great when finished.
Cheers,
James

Marcin,
Your depiction of the Sniper ON the plane is fantastic...the work on the tail is equally fantastic! Cudos!
Regarding the sniper being ON or UNDER the tail; based on your intial picture, unless he were as "thin as a snake," I don't see how he could fit under it!
From a "sniper's" standpoint (no, never was one nor got the training), were he to be UNDER, he'd have only one outlet if the poo hit the fan....out to the open (towards the back of the tail - right) and into the storm. However, were he to be ON the tail, he can move back, to the left, and if necessary, to the right. To the left rear is his greatest chance for escape were he to be "found out." If he was under the wing....well....he'd be meat.
My observations regarding the original pic and the sniper's placement.
Regardless.....seriously AWESOME.
Mike

Hi,
I will share with you new photos of my diorama, tail is still in progress, but finish is very close
...and here is a sniper:
About problem "ON or UNDER the tail"- when I projected my dio, I wanted to 'the main object' will be a sniper, not tail of airplane (it is just "framing"),so he must be expose on the tail. But thanks for your all advices;)
(thanks for Grzesiek- he send me essential dokuments of Me 410)

hi
great dio! i really like the aircraft tail. but to ur notes above, though the sniper would look better on the tail he would never have got into such an exposed position, i would put him under it, make people look for him!
