Wooow what can I say That`s a really good lookin` JAgdpanther dude.
Well If you are doing a tank that has driven around through the fields and stuff you might want to dry brush some more rust on it, But that is just a detail because without that it`s already a beauty to look at.
Great job congrats. in my opinion you can go to the Hobbytown competition without worries

From my point of view, just add more dust , Iīm not sure itīs due to the pics, but it seens to be so clean...just my point, itīs a matter of personal opinion, you know!
Cheers

Thanks for the comments so far guys. Those are rubber Tamiya tracks wrestled into place and superglued.....several times. The left front sprocket and right rear idler decided to snap off this morning while I was readjusting the tracks so I think I'll be trying the Fruil tracks next time.

Looks good Fritz, perhaps a little oil or some splashes on the rear deck AND some scratches here and there on the lower parts of the hull and sides would look authentic.
You have managed to capture the red/brown and green colours very well.

Real fine job,Fritz.
I myself use an antique bronze as the base color for tow cables, add a wash of rust, and D/B some steel.
It does look impressive,The cable for fixinf the tracks wrapped around the holder is good. Beer thirty.

I love it as is. Great job with the decals, no silvering that I could see. Excellant job with the PE. Good paint job and moderate weathering. If it was my my model I may have weathered something different or added different storage but it is your model. YOU know where it has been, I don't. I am sure you have seen this tank in action a 1000 times while you were building and painting it. It is as scratched and dented as YOU want it to be. I am confidant that you will kick @ss at the show. Good job.
PS, Let me know how it goes at the contest. I have always wanted to enter the Hobbytown thing...

Nice work Fritz.
I must say, the running gear looks much the same as on my Panther, I like that :-)
Overall, a very nice Jagdpanther with a nice light weathering effect, slightly clean for my taste but nonetheless, an awesome build. As for improvements, in terms of building, it looks very meticulously and well constructed. I would add some built up dirt to the fenders, wheels and back of the vehicle just for a little color variation. Maybe also some chips and scratches around the hatches?
Even without incorporating these thoughts, you have made a very impressive tank destroyer here, NICE!

fantastic maodel and painting. As some of the other guys have said......... it could do with some heavier weathering, but that is my taste/preference, and there aint nothing wrong in yours. Wish I could finish something this cool!

Thanks for all the tips and comments, I really appreciate them. The paint chip thing isn't something I've ever done on my models, not that there have been that many. This is because I 'm pretty ignorant about how to make it look right, and scratching the hell out of my paint gives me chills just thinking about it as I'm not sure I could mend it if I screwed up.
How do you guys chip paint and what steps, if any, can I take to insure I can reverse my mistakes?
Thanks,

Try here bud, chipped paint by me!!
You have already done the camo work so this wont work for you now. BUT It is a very good and realistic way.
You can reverse by painting the top coat again.

Damn good looking JP you got there Mr. Fritz. I had seen pic of it before paint, so I know how well the construction went. You definitely did this model proud. I like the chain thing in the front very nice.
Are you gonna put a figure in it?
