Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if a model manf. makes any of the Stewart & Stevenson line of trucks?
HIMARS is just one platform.
I photographed one of these trucks at a airshow and really liked the subject for modelling.
Just curious.
Here are some websites if you are curious.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim
The FMTV series of trucks is based on an Austrian design. HSV has released a 1/35 vac-form kit of the original Steyr 12M18 (4x4) :
Sébastien Viale has used it for his Special Forces M1078 truck :
Seb43's truck
On a side note, several FMTV variants are available in 1/87th scale (including a HiMars made by CMSC)

How about one of these!
1/32 scale Forces of valor diecast and plastic toys. Not bad for a toy but I haven't checked it to the drawings yet. Has some possibilities though. Take it apart, strip the paint off and carve it up into what you want. Or maybe what I might do is use it for a 3-D refference and scratch one in 1/35th.
just a thought.

Bingo!
That is what I am looking for!
Now wait for it in plastic...
Good point Joe about taking it apart, but that's not me.
Let me know if you do, I would be interested to see your outcome.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Trumpeter make one soon, they have made almost everything else.

I keep hoping someone would do the the FMTV/LMTV trucks. The producer could produce several different variants from the base vehicle. I'll be putting some pictures on Prime Portal in probably November of both 2-1/2 ton and 5 ton platforms. The pics will be detailed pics of cargo variants and recovery variant.
