I've seen some Alanger kits (one report of "Stalin's Cossacks" in Fine Scale Modeller) and another, "Soviet SMERSH Security Troops", on E-bay and was wondering if anyone knows where to buy them in the USA? They seem to feature some interesting subjects. What is the quality of these kits?

The quality is quite good but they are giants compared to other 1/35 soviet figures, more like 1/32. "Stalin's Cossacks" and "Soviet SMERSH Security Troops" are the same kit except for different heads. Not in the USA but I got my sets from HobbyTerra.

If you google or yahoo "Alanger" you will come up with Alanger.us. That is their US website. Or go to the site directly.

Do a search here in the buy and sell forum for Alanger US before deciding for yourself if you want to do business with them. Their service can be unreliable.

Thanks guys. I looked up the Hobby Terra website and all of their prices are in US $. That's a plus! Their prices are also excellent. I think I'll try them.

I think, now that you mention it, that there was a thread here on Armorama somewhere about Alanger US. Aren't they out of one of the New England states? I believe there were some very dissatisfied customers.
