Hey,

What a lovely vignette on a not often seen subject.
I like it very much, a nice atmosphere !
I seems to me that the proud guy in front is a masterbox figure, Am I right ?
Just a little remark : why didn't you make the telephone wires on the pole ?

Best,

Julien

Hi James,

Very nicely done. I'd agree with Julian some broken telephone wires hanging from the pole would round it off.

You've made good use of the kit it looks 'dapper'

Nice one.

Nice tight little diorama, I like the signage, it's crisp and really adds life and location to the project.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like it!
The Dingo was a fun little 'in-between builds' kit, and nice to bring up to date with a little work.

-Julien, yes the officer figure is from masterbox (british troops Caen 1944) though his arms are from the Tamiya 'British Infantry on patrol' set.
I did think about adding the wires but I didn't fancy having them hanging down over the small scene, and so left them out. Perhaps i'll give it a go in a future project.

-Al, Thanks mate, see my reply above, i'm afraid I basically wimped out on doing them!

- Dave, thanks, it is quite a 'cute' AFV and i've wanted to do one for a while. Can say it is worth a go, as a little love goes a long way with this kit!

- Scott, glad you noticed the signs, I always like to make sure any signs in a dio are relevant to a scene i'm trying to portray. Therefore all of those present are from Normandy and the two pointing to the right of the Dingo indicate diversions to south Caen, as British troops held North Caen some time before taking the south of the city.

- Neil, thanks for the heads-up. Interesting to hear from the Veteran i'm sure, we can never hope to fully re-create in any scale what those guys did and have to have the upmost respect for them. I have no formal connection to the KSLI but was raised in Shropshire and spent the best part of my life there meaning I hold an affinity to the county I see as my home. Therefore the chance to model something from the KSLI had great appeal for me.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Pleased you like the build.
Thanks again!

James
