OK, guys, i am in need of a favor; Does anyone know of any figure -preferrably 1:16- of an 82nd airborne trooper that is of good qaulity?
Reason I ask, is I met a really nice guy at my dr.s office last friday who was asking about a book I was reading ("A dark and bloody ground'). we got into a discussion about my uncle being 28th, and it ends up that he was in the 82nd and dropped into Normandy.

A friend and I were talking, and I have decided I'd like to present him with something- hopefully before veterans day- and was thinking of an 82nd figuire in 1:16 or 1:9. Just a way of saying thank you.

I know there is the VLS one of the guy with a Mohawk, but I dont want to go the mohawk route. Any sugestions? Can that new S&T figure be converted from 101st to 82nd easily? I cant tell if the patch is actually molded onto the figure, and if it would be feasible to file it off without marring the figure.

Hi Steve,

To my knowledge you can make any of the S&T Figures to 82nd. I did the first one and I used decals for the Unit Patches. There is a 120mm decal set from Verlinden that works. S & T had two Airborne figures that are really nice in 120mm.

Cheers

Dragon has a 1/16 Screaming Eagle which would be OK if u sand off the shoulder patch. It comes with a mohawk but that can be left off, so that the head is shaven. Or you can sculpt him some hair.
