After perusing this site for almost a year I thought I would get back in to figure painting though it will have to wait until I am living in something larger than a dorm room... Anyway I just read One Square Mile of Hell and was think of doing a small dio of sorts in honor of the Marines who gave it their all on Tarawa. I have seen the figures by Dragon, Verliden, and Warriors and was wondering if there were any other marine figures that would work.

I have not seen anything personally... but come join the pacific campaign! hahaha starts in december if you can wait that long. I figure that if you are in a dorm like mine... maybe winter break would be a good time. I bought both dragon kits and some of the verlinden figures for a dio i did a while back. they all built really well. the new dragon kits also come with some pe in the form of slings and such. you can also choose your weapons to suit the time period better. hope i was some help!

Saw the post and thought I'd jump in as I'm doing my research now for the pacific campaign. I'm struggling to find decent references on USMC uniforms and kit for my Iwo Jima dio. Can anyone reccomend any sites or books with preferably colour pics? I've been looking at the Iwo stuff on You Tube but as we all know period colour film is a bit weird.
