While its an okay figure I have to admit it doesn't balance out pricewise. You could get a box of the Tamiya British Infantry in pretty much the same pose and then Ultracast heads for less than the price of another figure but you end up with 6 in individual poses. Its okay but not anything outstanding really. Given the Allied stuff being released at the moment this is quite uninspiring...thats my opinion

Sorry Henk, don't think this figure is wearing BD at all, looks more like the jungle "greens" to me, or perhaps the angora wool shirt & jungle trousers (the wool shirt "wicks" better, & takes sweat away from the body faster). There is something about the way the creases are on the body that doesn't look heavy enough for a BD blouse. The "Far East" description clinches it. However if you want to model a jungle scene, I don't think you can go far wrong, I certainly can't think of any 1/35th styrene British figures in Jungle Green.

You see, It looked like the BD blouse to me, so I thought it was. The exposed buttons and simple pockets pointing towards the 42 style blouse. My bad.. . And I thought that British Uniforms were less complicated than German ones..
I'll edit my review accordingly.
Thanks Steve,
Henk

Hi Guys,
I like this one for the very simmple reason it's very useable in almost any theatre of war. The top could be a wolly shirt or jungle greens as you want, but he would fit in N Africa, Italy, the Far east or NWE depending upon the time of year.
I've always like the shirt sleeve option on figures and althouogh as Karl says there are cheaper alternatives, I like the overall stance and effect. Needs a couple more 'mates' in the same order of dress and any new British figures are OK by me.
With a slouched hat he's make a good ANZAC type. I'd agree the cost of single figures is high, but them's the breaks, Jakrei have come up with some great and unusual figures, so I hope he's the first of several.
Cheers
Al
