I am building an M60A2 .OOB with a sacrificial M-48 by Tamiya for the searchlight.
And maybe the back deck.I just looked at the A/M tracks (which come out of a box)that I have, and they are the octogon pad ones,so it will be CHAOS,Ser # 4863 post labor day 1977.

Anyone attemping a similar tank (Al) watch as I do mine,I will show you all the tweaks the kit needs to come out perfect.

Tamiya M48A3 pretty much OOB Viet Nam era with lots and lots
of hand rolled and resin stowage. If time permits, I have an AMT
BMP-1 or T-72 that look to be pretty quick OOB experiences I may
attempt as well.

Initially thought of building AFV Club's M41A3, but gots no time to do that.

Will build Dragon SA-9 Gaskin practically OOTB with the vynil tires being replaced by homemade resin copies (due to the warning on another thread here about splitting tires) or using the same tires but replacing them in the future.

Probable/possible addition(s), time and finances permitting.

Hi all, I plan to do a Republican Guard T-72 (I may have to hide it well or it may not make it ) from the Iran - Iraq war. It's an Esci kit I got from a friend and looks rather plain so may have to do some work on it . I plan to build it as is but will finalise the details for the campaign launch. Good luck to one and all. Kenny.
P.S. Any pointers for where I may get info on this please feel free to email or PM me as it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Stormin.

I will be building an Italeri Leopard 1A2 in Italian markings, and a M60A2 "Starship" . Both out-of-the-box.

I think I'll have to scratch that one. I got both kits on the mail today, and while I am quite happy with the Leopard, Tamiya's vintage M60A2 is mostly junk. The turret is the only thing that I actually like about the kit. I think I'll save this one for the future and maybe use an Esci hull to build the Starship.

Fabio, I see what you mean about the wheels. Is there any other difference on the wheels or is it only a matter of being slick or ribbed?

Cheers,

Ahhh I am so jelious......I have been looking for this kit for awhile....I had bought the Eduards PE set for it on Ebay for cheap....but don't have the kit!!!

Haven't decided what I am going to build yet....I was at our big show in Halifax, Nova Scotia and picked up a few kits.....namely a Tamiya T-62.....pretty good deal for $10!! Also got the Italeri M-163A1 Vulcan...also for $10, as well as a Monogram 1/48 AV-8B Harrier for $5....great swap meet!!!!

So I am still deciding what to build....the T-62 is very interesting.....not sure if I would do it as a true Soviet model...or do it as an Iraqi MBT.....some idiot told me I should build it as an Iraqi one that just got smashed by an A-10 gun......I told him I wouldn't butcher a Tamiya kit that way!!!! Now my Linburgh BMP-1 is another story....LOL!!!!

Bombshell,
the wheels themselves are ok, it's only the rubber part wrong. I just filled the seams with superglue added of talc powder before it dried and then sanded them. Are you sure you don't want the decals to do it with Italian markings? I don't want anything for them...

I'm doing an AFV Club M548 in Canadian Markings circa about 1980, either 4 Combat Engineer Regiment in Lahr or 1 Combat Engineer Regiment in Chilliwack BC. I'll use HKCW Diehl tracks, headlights from Grief and markings from Archer. anyone know where I can get some M15 At mines?

I decided to build the Skif BMP-3. I guess it came out in 1990 and the campaign includes vehicles built up to 1990, so it just barely fits in. I've got some aftermarket barrels for it, and the Eduard PE set. Now all I need is an extra bottle of CA glue for all those ejector pin marks Ahhh, so spoiled on my last two kits, both Tamiya.
