Holy dead thread revival!! Esp since the OP (Steen T.) hasn't been on the site since Oct '13.

To clarify, the M872 flatbed trailer is now available from Trumpeter with thier M915 truck. It is not usually pulled by the M983 HEMTT though.

The standard M983A2/A4 is the prime mover for the PATRIOT missile system.

Which is now available from Trumpeter, AFV Club (reboxed and updated Trumpeter kit), and Dragon.

The M983A2/A4 LET (Light Equipment Transporter), which has a few different features (winch on rear deck, rear roller, different rear steps and deck, etc..), is used by Engineer units, pulls the M870 series of lowboy trailers with drop-down/removable gosenecks.

Ahem. Cough, cough, cough.
The Trumpeter kit actually contains the M872 trailer. Just one small digit difference....

Unloaded trailer. Maybe for sale ...

The HEMMT tractor is only used to pull the Patriot launch trailer and the Patriot radar trailer.[/quote]
I've seen the local national guard unit in RI using the hemmit tractors pulling low boy trailers and flatbeds.

Right, check out my above post w/the M983 LET. Also, when the statement was originally made in '07, the M983A2 LET was not yet fielded.

They sure are. Now there are two M911 w/M747 C-HETs announced in plastic as well; Hobby Boss and Meng. Who would have expected that?

Yep!
I was even contemplating building an M747 from scratch but then MinimanFactory released one in resin which I bought 11 months ago. Now there are two in styrene. I also emptied the wallet and bought the C-HET tractor even though I already had the one from AFV-Club. Now it seems as if I'll end up with three or four C-HET tractors. Got a spare M1000 trailer bought from a friend who only wanted the M1070 tractor so maybe one of the C-HET gets to pull the M1000 instead.

It would be nice to have a table showing the valid combinations of tractors and trailers ....

Really?? Check the date and follow along. Steen T. hasn't been on the site since '13 and the original post was from '07. I doubt he is still looking for a 1/72 HEMTT and trailer combo.
