PAinting Bricks.......Help??

HI guys. OK i need some help on my buikding that im painting. Now i have tamiya paints right and i started to paint the bricks with red (figured thats what you use). And now the bricks are like fire engine red and I want it to look kind old and weathered. Any tips on how to do this. And if so what colors or paints should i use. Remind u im a newb to this

Tamiya's Hull Red is the colour you'll want to use for bricks.

Add a little flat brown or perhaps even beige to the red to get a more "toned-down" look. then come back and pick out a few bricks in a variety of shades, such as dark brown, brown, even a few pinkish tans... take a look at one of the buildings I sell on my site for a better idea of what I mean here.... (picture is worth a thousand words, right?). If nothing else, try adding a light grey wash to the final piece to give it a dusty "mortar" look.

weathering your fire red bricks with black or gray chalk pastels can make them look realistic.
