Thanks Scott. Yeah, have to agree with the grass issue.

Greg, thanks for your interest. But really I was winging it with amounts. I have this condition where I don't necessarily have the ability to know the right way to do things, but know what looks wrong, and avoid it
It was a 100ml tube of acrylic. The colour was an earth brown as seen in the photo and is very dark. The actual surface can be lightened to suit later and looks better to have the dark brown in the 'depths'. The full tub of putty is 1kg, and I probably used a third of it?
Hope that helped, but really it was just a guide line. Feel free to throw more different coloured acrylics in to get a mix suitable.

Brad : I've never ever seen any mud puddle this realistic ! It's the real thing and oh man, I want to achieve these skills to make mud this beautiful too. Just fantastic !!! Thanks for sharing your muddy secrets with us. G.
