I agree that it is a wonderful diorama idea.
May I ask you, what brand are the buildings you have used?
TIA

hi fred , like i mentioned before it's an awesome dio, with alot of little detail , like the girl against the building, i have used trees from cayon before , whatcha opnion on them? mine were snow covered. Are you going to detail the train engine with more paint. i am working on a dio with 3 tiger1's right now and like you i find that the Friulmodel tracks much better to use and more realistic looking. well you are definetly going to have to keep us posted on your progress. keep up the great work !

I really like the Canyon Creek trees.. Peter made them deferent heights for me.. Their between 16 and 17 inches tall.. The train is going to get a complete makeover..

I started this project about five or six years ago.. I started out with the Train Station kit from Custom Dioramic’s .. I t came with both buildings, station house and switch tower, a foam base with one set of track.. It was if I remember right 24 X 16 inch.. It has grown to 65 X 30 inch and I am adding another eight inches to the width making it 38 inches wide so I can move the Road over a little and widen out the road ad the same time.. I don’t know if it will ever get FINISHED if you know what I mean.. Change this , Change that.. I just wish I had the room, I would like to do a full Freight Train.. Locomotive with about fifteen cars

Let give you a little history on this thing I am building.. I started on back in 2000 with the Train Station building's and base from Custom Dioramics.. If I remember right the base was 24" X 14".. Right off I decided that was going to be to small.. And now it has grown to 5'5" X 30" and I am thinking about adding another 6" to the width and maybe another 10" to the length.. This thing is growing out of house and home.. I want to add one more flat car to freight train.. I have enough cars to do the rest of the Armored Train minus one coal car.. I have a lot more figures to do, US and German..

I like the PanzerYamahanerwagon loaded on the flatcar. Shouldn't it be painted Dunkelgleb?

Hey Michael you caught that. It is a Yamaha Four Wheeler. I got it from New-Ray Toys and it is in 1/32 scale. It is already in a Three Tone Camoflage, Panzer Green Base Coat, Panzer Brown and Dunkelgleb.
( PanzerYamahanerwagon ) I like that
