I have asked a few of my pals that are in the military to help me with some quality images of Interceptor Body Armor and still no help, I have all the ACU info that I need, but still lacking the Interceptor Body
Armor images, what I need are some really good hi-rez images and if possible and a tape measure laying on the vest to see the measurements of some of the details. Thanks

Your in luck Chris! I have my IBA downstairs with plates and all. I have all the peices that go with it. It is in ACU pattern if that is ok?

Oh, I have the complete ACU MOLLE system, including ruck sack and assault pack.

I was gonna take the camera out to shoot some pictures of my Stryker and scan some pages in of a book for Mother this weekend. I can add the shots you need with what I have to do.

I can't help you on pictures of crew members. All I have is what I scrounge from the net.

As for my patch, it is the 36th ID patch.

I'll drop you an email. I have a holster that was for my 9mm that I bought at the PX and my vest is set up to the SOP we had.

I will see if my wife will be so nice and take pictures of me in all the stuff for you too. I will try to have all of it to you be the end of the weekend.

Still working on them Chris. I got all the pictures done of each peice and the IBA in whole. I hope they turn out the way you want them. I'm putting all my stuff back together so my wife can take shots of me in all this stuff.

We all took naps earlier, so we will be up for a while tonight. When I send these to you and if they are incorrect or you need additional shots, just let me know.

Gotta run to the corner store to get milk for the babies and some happy juice for me and the wife. Be back to finish up.

Pete Out!

Hola Chris,

What you need hi res for? All you need it for is to send to your sculptor for reference.

Company is doing great, all ready sold out of our first kits and we're on the second molds.

We're moving down to TX in January, not sure the exact date yet, headed down next weekend to look for a house and a production facility. Will be fun!

Here are a couple more shots of the latest IBA with the extra plates.

Got a few more which I'll post in a few.

These following Images are NOT for reproduction, strictly for personal use only.

Figured I'd post these as well, as this is the latest and greatest as far as IBA's goes. Pretty much all the Stryker Brigade troops who are currently in cycle for deployment would have these.

Hmm....the images posted are only like 1/8th of the original size. Not sure why they are so small. Oh well...I tried

Is that one of the Improved IBAs? I read about improved IBAs in Army Times in May and haven't seen anything else about them since.

Hmmm... I wonder if any resin figure company would be interested in the Eagle CIRAS Maritime and Eagle CIRAS Land.

What's up 18B
And this cones from an ex 13BR5M-9 yes I am sure that I would be interested in the vest images, and all the packs and pouches, is this real McCoy or air-soft specials?
What would make it even better , is to have some hires images of a SF operator wearing the vest and all the right equipment. Thanks

Not sure how air-soft specials help anyone, but yeah, I think I can find oh, dozens of images of SF operators, kind of like this one:

Hi res would take a day or two for dedicated shots of the setups, (everyone's is different)provided time permits. PM me and we'll work out details. The weapons would definitely need to be upgraded.

What's it like fighting in the desert in that sort of armour??? I've only ever worn a ballistic helmet and flak vest in combat and that was pretty awful given Sri Lanka's temperature and high humidity. I feel like David eyeballing Saul's armour

I have alot of body armor, both real and replica. The Eagle CIRAS I have is made of the same material (1000D Cordura) as that of my replica CIRAS. Build quality isn't much different, but the price tag between them are. Most replica stuff coming out from well known HK manufacturers are made of 1000D Cordura, and will accept both BALCS and plate armor. I train with both real and replica stuff on my kit, and they both hold up about the same.
The SDS stuff tends to fall apart quicker though.

Spook,
As for me in the IBA, it took some time to get use to. Shooting in the prone was the worst because the back plate would ride up to my neck, but I got use to it. Hot and heavy too. I lost 20 pounds in two months of training at Ft. Bliss wearing the IBA. It put about an extra 50 pounds on me, not including weapons (M4/M203 and 9mm Berreta), and assult pack that we had to take every where we went.

Quick question for people using CIRAS vests...

When I load my vest with all the "essentials" the shoulderstraps tend to be the weak spot. Even with the little wrap arrounds they burn into the shoulders since all the weight will eventually rest on these straps. Perhaps I'm just a big puss but the guys on my left and right are sharing the same experience.
We do tend to wear our vests on all missions to include long(er) foot patrols.

Other than this little issue I LOVE this vest. It's the best thing I ever wore...
just my 2 cents.

I've had the same prob with my CIRAS,so I attempted to make a better set of pads. Prob for me is mine sits high on my traps. My SPARTAN II, which is the current USMC body armor is alot better fitting and a whole better design than the CIRAS or both versions of the Army OTV or IOTV (imho)
You can purchase the SPARTAN for a measley $275 USD. You'll have to supply the soft armor and plates though.

Wow, has two and a half (almost three) weeks gone by that quickly? I thought you'd have sent a PM by now, so I can only assume you found what you need on the net. Probably not how we roll, but if it works...

As for the comfort level, it's ranks very low on the list of things to worry about. We climb 14 flights of stairs with it on at least ten times per workout, because there is no place to run. It's been like a second skin for years now.

Thats the essential problem. Many of American people see body armor as a really good thing at keeping Soldier safe. These IBAs have the main plates, back plates, side plates, groin plates, neck protectors, should protectors. A lot of Soldiers become walking tanks and running endurance is seriously hampered. I knew a couple guys alone who didn't put all the extra stuff on because it slowed them down when finding cover. And many don't like it because it is too defensive and too much of a reactive (and not enough of a proactive) measure.
