This is the building Iīm making for a Vietnam Diorama with some running NVA soldiers in a rice paddy, and a OH-6 US helicopter and a DSHK heavy machine gun ... the title will be "LOW LEVEL HELL", just the "moto" of the scout platoon of the C troop 16 cavalry regiment of the famous Hugh Mills pilot (of course the OH-6 is the DML Dragon one).
All materials are from chinese bazzars, but the natural sticks that are just natural sticks from dead plants from a garden near of my house.
The NVA figure is not all painting, just WIP, only to see the proportion of the building.
I must paint some parts of the buiding, just to give a "faded" look.
My excuses for the bad pictures, Iīll do it better next time
Comments are welcome. Thank you.

That is a great source for this type of material. You've done a fantastic job with it too.

Gday csago
Always a pleasure viewing your works.
You put your scenes together with much imagination and attention to detail. (Your cornstalks are still my favourite!)
This promises to be a tremendous work mate. I love your other diorama showing the GIs carrying their wounded buddy up the jungle slope...

From the pic on the inside of the hut I can see lots of work was put into this and all of it has come out well. It will definitely look great in a dio.

Hi Csago. Great work on the hut. Its very authentic looking, and great use of easy-to-come-by items. Can only imagine how good this will look when set its scene later.

You have done a great job on the hootch for your dio.I never saw a hootch like that during my 13 month all expenses paid walking tour of Vietnam. On the other hand like I said great job. There just are not enough dios reflecting the VietNam experience. There are a million stories that can be told.I hope that the model companies start to move into this era.I think there is more out there related to Iraq than the Nam.

Agreed. I've always wanted to take a shot at a Vietnam Dio but there aren't many figures. I was looking at a box of Dragon Marine Khe Sahn figures and was thinking about picking it up. I think I will order a couple of boxes so I can do some kit bashing and make a Hue Dio.
By the way... Semper Fi. 0311 here (3/6 and 3/8 2nd MARDIV)
Also...great job on the hut. Very impressed.
