A quick question, and I apologize if it has already been answered in the past - I can't figure out how to SEARCH the forums for topics without going through every topic...
What is a good mix of colors to get convincing Japanese skin tones for WWII era figures?
I use Vallejo acrylics for figures and have access to Tamiya, Gunze, etc...Is there something better for these figures?

I found this site a couple years ago and it's stickied in the HFM painting forum.

Al, you're a life saver. I've got a pile of Japs for the Pacific campaign and was stumped how to mix the right skin tone.

Thanks, guys. I found the link to that site on another figure forum and posted it here. A moderator made it a sticky, so it's easy to find. One thing that's helpful is to open the forums tag and look to see what's stickied there. Also, look through the features. There are a lot of good articles, how to's and step by steps in there.

For the definition of Sticky check out the Forum FAQ (the link is at the bottom of every thread page.
The Forum tags Al refers to are the names of the indiividual forums, e.g. General Figure Modeling, Painting, Research, etc (these are the forum names on HF) and can be seen when opening the Forums page, the link to which you will see in the horizontal menu bar at the top of each page.
The 8 items in this menu bar are standard across the all the sites within the KitMaker Network, so there should be no confusion when navigating from, say, Armorama to Historicus Forma. What is different is naturally the individual discussion groups (some folks refer to them as forums as well) within each site - obviously HF will not have an aircraft discussion group.

A sticky is a post that has been permanantly placed at the top of sub-forum.
A forum tag is, in Armorama's case, the listings at the top of the page starting form the left as Aeroscale and ending with model shipwrights. Click on one of these ans you'll get a listing of discussions starting with those most closely affiliated with the particular area of interest.
