Yes, LSA has a really nice Lewis Gun in production. It was my understanding that it's use was limited with the LRDG (maybe I am incorrect) so I never really decided what kit to include it in. My thought was that I would issue it with the release of the LSA LRDG Chevy.

Perhaps the Boys would be a better fit for this kit and the Lewis Gun would be best put in the Weapons Only LRDG/SAS kit? What do you guys think?

BTW, I had never heard of BattleCraft before so I went looking. It looks like they've got an impressive lineup of naval armaments. When I finally get around to building that PT Boat that's been hanging on my wall forever I'll have to get many of the pieces from them. That's one reason it's never gotten built before now, I knew if I did the armaments then I'd have to make them into kits etc.

Hello Jim, according to my research and all my LRDG books, the Lewis Gun was a ideal LMG and used quite a lot by the LRDG. My main source is the LRDG Site, and LRDG Preservation Group Site. The BEF was also equipped with Lewis gun squads, I myself Really hope you decide to include it in a weapons pack,it is one of my personal favorites. I am planning many LRDG projects in 1/24, including a few of your Chevy's when they come out. Thanks Ray

Hi Ray,

Hopefully we'll be up and running in about another six weeks. When I came home today I found my partner sitting on the floor separating hundreds of newly cast pieces that she'd made over the last few days. So progress is steady and we're hoping to at least have some photos soon.

I'll try to post some photos of the initial kits to be released once I get a bit of time. Looks like we'll be going with a couple of large kits and quite a few smaller ones to begin with.

Hi Jim.

I've been watching this thread over the years and can't wait until you get your ops going. I got a Hasegawa Jeep kit just WAITING to be converted...

Also, do you have a website yet? If so, what's the URL.

Finally, if you provide me with product announcements directly via email, I'll be happy to post info about your products on our "What's New" page at WarWheels. Contact me direct at [email protected]

Wow, thank you Patrick. That's very generous and I appreciate it. And thanks also for your patience as LSA has stumbled along on it's way to becoming a reality. In truth, LSA would likely have been up an running long ago if I could have just resisted the temptation to keep adding to the product line.

It's nearly impossible to get things into production when you're constantly adding more items to the product line and revising pieces already in production. Instead of making a kit or two and adding more I have DOZENS of different kits ready for production to start with. Can't seem to do anything halfway. But at least I'm happy with the final lineup and know that I can easily revise and replace any pieces that customers find fault with.

No problem Ray, I appreciate your enthusiasm. Things are plowing on along and work to get things ready to market continues day and night. We hit a tiny delay with the Jeep wheel set conversion that corrects the (Hasegawa) tire tread problem and makes the front wheels steerable.

The easier to assemble, stronger version is now ready to be molded and will be the only one offered for public sale. Thankfully we are having good builders building some of our pieces so we can make final revisions before selling. Won't be long now!

Just how long is "not long" Jim ? Been 3 months since the last post....have you launched yet ?. I'm still interested in looking at carrying your stuff in the UK....as discussed 2 years ago.

Hi Howard,

The launch was actually supposed to be a couple of weeks ago but I am having issues with my website developer and it's host. Also had a bit of a scare when we found that LargeScaleArmory.com had just expired so we had to scramble to get our domain name back! All the bugs should be ironed out within (hopefully) not more than a week or so. Strangely, even though we have had to scale back on the website a bit it looks as though we're going to launch with more kits than originally planned. Several emails have prompted us to include kits that have been ready but we weren't planning to release until later. We'll now start with 20 kits out of the 42 currently done.

We have also begun shipping out kits for review and to meet the needs of a few major builders and charities. (Note: if you are a veterans orgainization, especially those serving disabled veterans, then please contact me about being added to our list)

I'd be honored to have you carry the LSA line and look forward to sending some stuff your way very soon. FYI, at the moment it looks like we're sending only two of each kit to vendors to begin with.
