Air:

Sounds like you are enjoying your 105 Sherman build, and that's great!!!

One comment on the tracks.

From the front view I believe the tread cleats are supposed to be flipped the other way so they look like a cup. Perhaps revisting your kit directions might clarify this, or looking at some Sherman pics out on the Net. Hopefully if the switch is necessary these are the rubber band type tracks which can be easily switched around.

Who manufacturers the kit Air? (as I would like to build one myself). Is it a pretty good build as far as fit, clean parts etc?

Thanks for the pics and the opportunity to comment.
ps: enjoy talking with you in the chat room

The tank is made by taniya, basicly a rebox of the older A3 with a 105mm and a couple other things. There is a review on it that was also pretty helpful here at ARMORAMA

Looks good... Especially the contrast between the mud/rust and the white camo... Is it going to be fitted in a dio ?

Looks good. Always like to see Shermans. I really like the one shot where you are looking right down that 105's barrel.

Nice Sherman well done.

Is it destined for a diorama? If so what scene is it headed for? If you are depicting cross country manuvers I would recommend strapping down the gear on the deck, would want it to fall off . If its more of a static scene you can leave that off.

I like the 50 cal. it looks good.

Nice job.

Airwarrior, it's for sure a nice piece, but I've got a couple of questions for you::
- the upper hull behind the turret in my view is too white and flat. I'm not a Sherman and winter camo expert, but I think that area need to be a bit more worn? Considering all that gear you put it looks like it walked there on its own.
- don't yoy think that the woodden boxes need a bit more weathering?
It can also be that the pictures don't say the 100% truth on your model...
Ciao

looks great to me... Thoroughly worn and realistic, but i'm wondering about the fractured paint finish around the turret stars? Was that intentional or just a bad paint reaction?

Just the same, a nice job overall

Maybe drybrush the same color in the cracks and then sand it down a bit and give a second drybrush coat? I've done that with different paint brands and it worked OK...
