Good build. I have been wanting to do this one myself. When I went to the LHS, the kit was gone. Luckily, I can always find something else to do.

Great build log you got going here 3224. Your project looks fantastic so far. I have one of these kits sitting in my stash. I can't wait to start it.
What color did you use for the primer?

Carl, try getting it from luckymodel.com. I paid a little less tht 100$ shipped for the kit, and they tend to come on special once in a while. She's deffinatly worth the buy!
Brent: Thanks for the kind words, i really apreciate them. The color i have used for the primer is Red Oxide... Iam sure you can find it in your local hardware store in the painting department. I then use Maskol in applied with a sponge to create chipped paint around extensivly used areas. Since this vehicle is a workhorse, areas such as the deck will have alot of chips.

Belgium-Canada is a long a ride. I guess i can ship her Fedex express lol
Thanks for the comments on the interior! I apreciate it. Too bad my photography skills don't give my work justice!
I'm done high school, and iam at my last semester in college studying commerce with a concentration in history and knowledge in antrhopology and sociology. The proffesor's name is R.P. Goodman. He owns a company specializing in fine military books and he is using his knowledge to study the battle of laffeldt in 1747. Laffeldt was a village close to Maestricht which was a fortified village on the Meuse. The village is in Belgium too He will be visiting hte battle grounds this summer i believe.

Hey andy, thanks for the tip, il try it out and let you know how it works... next time reply faster, i sent the order in this morning If it works you might just have to convince your wife to make room for a freezer!
BTW, hows England this time of year? A High School professor of mine who i now assist in research is leaving saturday for a trip. He plans on visiting the Queen's Royal Archives and a few other neat places... Il be in Paris as of next year.
Frank
Frank,
Sorry mate I've only just spotted your posting. I have been away in France, or Normandy to be precise for nearly a week. We stayed in a hotel in Arromanches which we have stayed in before, and was fantastic. We did some more visiting of the D-Day Beaches and also went to Falaise and also saw the Tiger 1 at Vimoutiers too. It's just by the side of a main road with nothing to indicate why it's there or what it is!
"How's England this time of year?"
Same as it is any other time of year - expensive, mainly cold and snarled-up in traffic. I really do wonder just what overseas visitors must make of us on this small island. I can only apologise for rip-off Britain.
Anyway your Famo etc is looking real good, mine is almost finished. I'm struggling with the right colour for the grass for my diorama.
More pictures to follow soon
All the best.

No, I was wrong, it was in the Netherlands, but now it seems to be part of Belgium. But it's very close to the border.
I do have a sister, but I don't think her husband and my girlfriend would agree

Dave, il be checking your site. My computer is lagging so il have to wait another time! Looks good though.
Back to topic--- For now----
I got her all dressed up with some paint and added some pre-shading. I will cover up the pre-shading tomorow and commence the camo once its dry. I need to hurry up in order to not leave the Maskol on for too long.
Sorry for the bad pictures, i didn't have any luck today

Sorry Dave, your right. Armorama isn't the place to bid of your siblings; i forgot we had Ebay for that
As for the tank shes waiting for the camo. I've covered up the pre-shading, so far so nice except for some paint issues since its want diluted enough. This wont matter much, but its still something that bugs me.
I got the TWS wheels. They look great! a few issues with the molds, but thats okay, il fixe'm up. Andy, i need some help. How did you get the TWS wheels to fit your famo right?
Thanks for the intrests folks.

Hi Frank,
If you mean the hole in the wheel being too large for the axle, I simply wrapped some thin Tamiya masking tape around the axle until it was thick enough to fit. I then glued the wheels in place with epoxy glue and left them to set for a couple of days.
Genius eh?
Let me know if that was not what you meant.
Two more photos for you.

Hey Frank and Tim, i'am glad your enjoying my blog.
I will update it soon with pictures of the camo done, perhaps tonight if i get the chance to. The results are fine for now, i had some painting issues, but thats what happens when you spend nearly a year without modeling because college and work keep you too busy.
