I like what you have done so far Francois, but I'm not sold on the camouflaged trailer. The bogies I could see being camouflaged, but the deck? The deck will be scuffed, with mud, grease, oil and fuel stains. A right mess, and a modellers dream to weather... . But not camouflaged.
Your blog is tempting me to drag mine out of the stash.... but must ..resist.. to much already started.. must ... resist..
Thanks for sharing Francois.
Henk

Hey Henk!
You have a god point regarding the deck. I followed tamiya painting instructions since thier isn't much reference to be found on such subject and because time doesn't allow me to be so nit picky. However, i do share the same concerns as you regarding the deck, and from what i can see from the molds, the deck is made of wooden planks. However, seens as the trailer was most probably assembled WITH these planks before being painted/ camo'd i believe it would be realistic to show the camoflaged deck. HOWEVER, the context is 1943 Russia, things arn't going very well for the germans so i will lickely opt for a worn out paint revielling the wood planks on the deck.
Obviously, mud and oil will be at the Rendez-vous. This won't be a clean model, i can assure in advance.

"Andy: Still struggling with the wheel unfortunatly!"
Frank,
How come you are still struggling? it took me about 5 minutes to get both axles to fit the wheels. Just wind the tape around the axle until it fills the gap. Easy Peasy!

Hey everyone!
Sorry about not keeping you all updated. The semester is about to end, thus why i havnt had time to take pictures. Not only has school kept me busy, but so has work. I got back from a work trip in New York City. Thier was a book fair at hunter college and i attended.
Anyhow... The stug recieved a dullcoat... the Famo is still under gloss without decals.
Thanks for looking!

Nice work 3442, IŽll be watching your work, as this kit is definitely the must have. I hope to get mine in the summer, before is too late. Cannot wait to see it finished.
