Thnx Al! One note however: people should know that "Monty" is actually a rarer M3A5 Grant -- a diesel engined one.

Al-- Absolutely superb tank collection preserved by people who cherish their heritage. If only Aberdeen would protect in the same manner the priceless collection they possess we would not see it continue to rust and sink into the mud in Maryland. We would all be better for the effort. Great series of photos.
thanks

Hi DJ,
That's sad news to hear, I suppose it's all about money. IWM both in London and Duxford have a grand range of Vehicles. Some are in better condition that others but they seen to be constantly working on restoring something. Bovington has a great collection and again many restorations on going.
I hope to drop in at the IWM in Hendon some time and have a look around there. It's the Battle of Britain Museum so that might be interesting.
Cheers

Hey Al
Many thanks for the photos !!!
They'll come in handy when and/or if the new Academy Grant arrives, especially if the final product looks anything like the photos Pat posted earlier.
Cheers

Hi John,
I haven't bought a plastic kit yet that didn't need altered or upgraded in some way, a new Grant especially with an interior (don't you just love kits with interiors lol, lol) will be very welcome and if it needs fixed then sure that's half the fun and there are plenty of folks around to give advice.
We shall see what comes out and take it from there.
Cheers

Hi Al,
Yeah, it's certainly a "wait and see" sometimes with these new kits.
Even if the Grant has some "dimensional issues", I'll probably buy 1 or 2, just for all the spare suspension bits.
The same goes for the M7 Priest, there just aren't enough British/Canadian/Commonwealth vehicles available.
It's not like we have much of a choice a'la all the Teutonic "feline named" AFV's that are flooding the market !!
I guess you take what you can get and make of it what you can
Anyway, have a Happy New Year
Cheers
