We''ve all seen images of tanks with thrown tracks, warlord adds a bit of animal relief. Is the donkey mocking them or trying to help?

Very nice work Warlord. The animal adds an element of fun that the soldiers probably do not see at all!!!!
Forgive me, but one question - how did you get such subtle shadows on the faces. Just now I just seem to slap on some flesh coloured paint, but I'd like to take it further and get a bit of depth and dimension to them, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Congratulations on a great build, subject and setting. The whole scene is superb!!

Looks great!
I hope those two chaps watching the mule, remembered to put the tank in neutral. Otherwise the two doing the ACTUAL work on the tanks will be pulling that rope for a long time...
I like the detail of the shiny, steel, road wheels on the "working" surface. That is a detail that gets overlooked often.

Very nice, warlord. Nice touches with the figures and the mule. If that were me pulling the rope, I'd have to ask, 'why aren't those other two chaps helping me tugging on this thrown track. Those things are heavy.
Great job, amigo.

Thank you Scott and thank you all for watching and all you comments.
@Stuart - I used Vallejo acrylics for painting figures. Faces were painted with help of mixes from this site: http://www.coloradominiatures.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=5
I think I used mix #1b. On this site: http://www.planetfigure.com/articles/jaume_face_eng.pdf you'll find exact description (I found that site few days after figures were finished
)
@Mike - Hardest job is done so commander let the two new guys work their technique on the track.
Third tanker is preparing hammer to secure the track with pin.
@Mark, I hope so too
@ Scott, You can't be sure what an animal is thinking of at a time but I think the mule is rather not helping them.

Warlord, very nice topic. Could you possibly tell me what kits you used for this project? Thanks.

James, tank is from Trumpeter, figures are from Mini-Art (German Tank Crew at Work and German Tank Repair Crew) and the mule is from Tamiya's Live Stock set.

I vaguely remember throwing a track and using the engine and sprocket (With the good track braked of course) to carefully and slowly help get it back on while we pulled the rope...
