Well, at least they're Mk VIIs - be worse if they were IIIs

Great news! Hopefully (and probably) more versions will be released as well, especially the MK.V or an AVRE?

Finally!! My prayers are answered! I was about to spend well over $100 on a Tamiya Mk.IV + IMA backdate set + PE to do a Soviet Mk.III Churchill as of Kursk. Fortunately the IMA set was sold out and it now looks like I won't need it anymore.
Thank you AFV!!

Hail Britannia! It used to be you could count British AFV models on one hand. Now you need both hands just to count the ones that have come out in the past year!!!! Can't wait to pop the box on this one!

I tend to think they'll stick to the major production variants - at least for the forseeable future. There's a lot they can do with simply the Gun-Tanks. However, it may be, if the series is sufficiently succesful that they'll do seperate update sets (as they're doing with the Cents).
The real message is, that after 30 years, we're finally getting a modern kit of the Churchill. In the words of Groucho - let there be dancing in the streets and drinking in the saloons!

A "standard" AVRE may be worthy of production, especially if they make the Mk IV cast turret.
A friend of mine made a Mk I cast turret a few years ago (Steve Guthrie) and then sold a few to firends. I have mine secreted away for just such a day and will likely produce a mould & make a few for myself so I can get a MK I and a Mk II for a Dieppe collection.
Steve's Dieppe Mk I backdate of the Tamiya kit graced the cover of Mil Mod several years ago, so some of you may remember it.
And, no, I'm afraid I won't sell any of my recasts. Not cricket, doncha know!
