great work so far Dave.
I particularly like your groundwork, an excellent job there.
2 tips:
1. Be careful with your dry-brushing, it should be used as a more subtle technique, and you have gone to town a bit here, meaning the paint is quite thick in places.
2. Your roadsign says 'mines 15km' which is a bit wierd. Don't know if you confused it with a place name, but I doubt a roadsign would warn you about mines 15 km away.
Good luck getting this one finished, it'll be one nice scene when done.

I purposely "bunched" the paint up on the gun. It had actually acquired three different paint schemes on the way to the back of that Blitz. A dark grey, a british desert khaki(captured paint no doubt) and a final coat of dunkelgelb.
Everyone seems to think that the paint on the Blitz is actually dirt. It is not. It is dunkelgelb and was applied by the crew over it's original grey (Dunkel Grau). Field paint jobs without a compressor and or without a good washing first would often yield a pretty nasy looking finish, particularly when applied over dust, dirt mud, etc. That's why it looks like it does. It's not so much drybrushing as it is slapped on then worn off.
So you see, there is a method to my madness.
